Oh, Snap!

Carrots are definitely on the list of loud foods (most of which are healthy– apples, celery…baked chips?)

Besides their hearty, snappy bite, they also contain something called beta-carotene, which your body converts to Vitamin A, which is good for your eyes!

Oh, and you very possibly might turn orange if you eat enough of these. But don’t worry– it will most likely only effect your fingers– you won’t look like you got a bad tan (maybe more like you’ve been eating Cheetos?)

So, there are signs to tell when one has been scarfing the carrots. This is sort of like when you become a Christian– there are evidences in your life. Look at what Jesus said: “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” -John15:8-11

Bearing much fruit can reference the ‘fruit of the Spirit’, also known as the fruit we bear when the Spirit leads us, instead of our own sinfulness. Galatians 5:22-24 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

These fruits should be expected when following hard after Jesus– just like the tell-tail signs that someone has been seriously snacking on the carrots! If they’re for real… you’ll know!
